i know i’ve been missing around here lately but well hi there i’m posting this bc people should know.

This video is a summary of what is happening here in Brazil on the past few days. A few weeks ago the goverment increased the transport fare and the population made a manifest against it. It started on the social networks and this week people went to streets. Four state capitals participated, though the biggest flow was in São Paulo. Yesterday, 06/13/2013, as you can see in this video things got out of control. The pacific protest was turned into a riot when the police begun to fire rubber-coated bullets and tear gas against the manifestants. 240 people were arrested, 100 injuried and it keeps counting… among them are manifestants, passers-by, workers,  journalists etc. The police dont give a fuck about who they are attacking. And the goverment says that once the manifestants are all “vandals” it’s ok and “professional”  the police use excessive force against them. For a general idea of how ridiculous it is, a reported was several injured in the eye by rubber-balls and another was arrested because he was porting a fucking bottle of vinegar!

The manifest is getting a international character since it’s going to happen protestes in Paris (France), Berlim (German), Coimbra (Portugal) and Dublin (Ireland).

Now it’s not about the transport fare, it’s about social justice!
